Frequently Asked Questions

  • Right now the waiting list for the choir is open to Tenors and Basses. So if you sing one of those parts and would like to join, please get in touch with us here

Unfortunately we are at capacity for Sopranos or Altos at the moment, but please keep an eye on the website or our Instagram page for when a spot opens up.

In the meantime, we’d love to have you join us at one of our concerts. You can find all the details of our upcoming events on the website or on Instagram!

  • Absolutely! We are a non audition community choir with members of all age, backgrounds and abilities, with varied singing experience. You don’t need any musical experience or to be able to read music.

Please note. The waitlist is currently only open to Tenors & Basses. If you’re a Sop or an Alto, please check the website to see when spots open up.

  • We have a varied repertoire of pop, rock, gospel, musical theatre, classical, folk songs and songs in different languages. And Christmas songs of course!

Last term we sang everything from Chapelle Roan to Queen, Green Day to the Beatles and some 70’s classics in between!

  • If you’re a Tenor or Bass:

    • Click the red Contact Us button at the top of this page

    • We’ll then be able to put you on the waitlist and let you know when you can come in for a free taster session!

    • If you have a great time (and we think you will!) you’ll then be able to sign up and join us for all our rehearsals, socials and concerts.

If you’re a Soprano or Alto unfortunately the waiting list is currently closed. We’re keen to keep the choir balanced, and so that means we are not recruiting for any higher voice parts right now. When we open up some spots again we will update our website and our Instagram page

  • Once a space opens up you will be able to join a free taster session. At the rehearsal, a member of the choir will greet you and introduce you to our director Alex.

Generally tasters are held at the start of a new term so you will be learning new repertoire along with everyone else! Hopefully you enjoy it and decide to sign up ~ after your taster we will be in touch with all the details on signing up

  • Everything! Membership includes access to at least 40 rehearsals, as well as at least three performance opportunities per year. These are not compulsory, but we recommend trying to attend as many rehearsals (and performances!) as you can.

You receive a choir t-shirt and embossed songbook / folder which are used for our performances.

Members have access to an online Google drive containing resources for many of the songs we are learning.

Throughout the year we organise regular social events, and occasionally we hold workshops, attend concerts and organise other group outings for any members that would like to join.

  • Membership of the choir is £35 per month, payable via Direct Debit. The annual cost of membership is split evenly over 12 months.

The payment will be taken safely and securely through GoCardless which is sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland and is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Once the payment system is set up, the payments will just come out monthly on a fixed date.

Our membership terms and conditions can be found here.

Current members can set up their go cardless payment in the members area.
